The Summer Visiting Youth Program at The Stewpot offers a week-long mission trip for 8 groups each summer.

Youth experience one week of “urban reality” with sleeping arrangements provided by First Presbyterian Church of Dallas, caddy corner to The Stewpot. An established curriculum is provided along with one staff member to help guide the group during the week.

The group serves as lunch volunteers at The Stewpot each day and then works with the children who live in or near downtown shelters in the afternoons. At night, the group volunteers at Dallas agencies that serve domestic violence victims, senior citizens and other at-risk groups. Each group is invited to a party hosted in their honor by First Presbyterian Church members at the end of the week.
