As a steward of The Stewpot, you help to serve second chances to men, women and children who live day-to-day in a precarious balance for survival. Your contribution provides basic emergency aid to the impoverished and tangable opportunities for them to rebuild their lives.

Contributions to The Stewpot, a tax-exempt organization operating under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) of First Presbyterian Church of Dallas, are deductible for computing income and estate taxes. First Presbyterian Church generously provides for building maintenance, utilities and administrative expenses of The Stewpot. Direct program support is dependant on the generosity of individuals, corporations, foundations, Church, and civic groups.

Loaves & Fishes Sponsor a Meal Day (Feed 500)

$25 provides one week of nutritional supplements and basic medicines

$50 sponsors a week of Stewpot art classes, enabling clients to gain self-esteem through expressing their creativity

$100 provides identification cards for 10 people allowing homeless people better access to jobs and other needed services

$250 provides holiday-time presents and food for one City Park family

$500 provides The Stewpot meal for over 500 homeless and at-risk persons

$1,000 provides two field trips for 80-100 inner city children, giving them experiences such as going to museums and the zoo

$2,500 provides dental care, including prosthetics, for nine persons, resulting in increased self-esteem and job

$5,000 provides two months of drug and alcohol counseling and street outreach

$10,000 supplements the cost of food at The Stewpot for one month
