Saturday KID'S CLUB

Saturday School is an enrichment program for inner city children in 1st-5th grade during the school year. The children are served breakfast and lunch and they rotate through a variety of fun and educational programs such as recreation, computers, science, art, etc.  Volunteers ages 14 and older are needed for this program.  Volunteers 18 or older must complete a background check and it can be found at the bottom of this page.  Volunteers arrive at 8:30 am on Saturday morning for a brief orientation and assignment and finish around 1:30 pm.

Junior Crew & Venturing Crew

Junior Crew and Venturing Crew are programs for middle school and high school respectively. The programs involve a variety of activities including homework assistance, guest speakers, team building, character development, and community service. They meet on Wednesday nights during the school year and go on monthly adventures. Volunteers are needed as tutors for homework assistance in math, English and science as well as other subjects.  Volunteers must be 18 or older for this program. A background check is required for this opportunity and can be found at the bottom of this page.  

Volunteers arrive at 6:15 and finish around 8:00 pm.

English as a Second Language Classes

English as a Second Language is English classes for the parents of participants in our children and youth programs on Saturday mornings year round. Volunteers are needed to help with conversation and classroom assignments. The class meets from 9:15-12:15 on Saturdays. No background check is required.

Family Stabilization Program

Volunteers help with distributing food and clothing to over 100 families that participate in our children and youth program. Heavy lifting if required for some of the positions. Bilingual volunteers are also needed. We accept volunteers 12 and older with adult supervision.
